Movement classes provide physical activity that increase circulation, provide camaraderie and support whole-body wellness.
- Yin yoga classes provide calming and restorative movement to increase circulation and restore body function. It is a meditative, calming practice where poses are held for 3 to 5 minutes. All poses are practiced on the floor making it suitable for all levels. The muscles are relaxed focusing the stress of the pose on the connective tissue of the joints to increase their health and mobility. Incorporating focused breathing with the longer holds allows for the body and mind to slow down and become still. In this class we do several gentle yang poses to warm-up the body and get the circulation to flow adding more chi to our Yin practice. We end the class with a short meditation.
