Lisa is a PATH-certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist, with a B.S. in Equestrian Science from William Woods University in Fulton, MO. Lisa founded White Horse Wellness Center in 2016 after her experience from both sides of equine and wellness therapies. She overcame debilitating shyness through horses as a little girl and began teaching riding as a teenager because she wanted to share what she got from the horses as a shy kid with others. She earned a B.S. in Equestrian Science in 1998, worked for some of the top horse trainers in the country, and ran her own riding school for almost a decade. When she was diagnosed with brain cancer at 32, she discovered the powerful effects of therapeutic riding and equine and wellness therapies both as a client and a teacher and saw a need to make them available to those who could benefit.Read More
Chris is a Natural Horsemanship trainer and contemporary and friend of internationally renowned horseman Buck Brannaman, has been involved in horses her whole life. Before making horse training her career, she worked as a gemmologist and a construction project manager for Big Dog clothing company.
Her approach to horse care and training is complementary and supportive of White Horse Wellness Center's goals. She's not just gentle when that's needed but unwaveringly strong when that's needed; it turns out both horses and humans need both. She's a person who does what needs doing because it's the right thing to do.Read More
